Conversa has been serving the Midwest as well as the entire United States and international markets for over 20 years in language services. We are a full service language center offering the best in translation, interpretation, English as a Second Language and Foreign Language Instruction services. Conversa’s main office is in Cincinnati, Ohio with branches in Blue Ash, Ohio and Louisville, Kentucky. No translation project is too big or too small. Our main focus is communication: to allow our clients to communicate with their customers and employees in any language. Conversa is “Helping the World Communicate”.
Our Staff
Gerry Thiemann, Company Director 
Gerry founded Conversa in 1989, with his wife, Carmen. He has worked in all areas of Conversa, from the development of teaching materials and audio tapes, to the design of Conversa’s website at various stages. He has taught English as a Second Language, performed simultaneous Spanish interpretation for the Federal and Municipal courts and has translated and edited documents. While Mr. Thiemann delegates responsibility of most of Conversa’s operations to its key employees, he is familiar with every facet of Conversa and takes responsibility for all its operations. He is completely accessible to all employees, clients, students and customer, and encourages open communication.

Mabelle Attermeyer, Client Services
Mabelle is responsible for communicating to Conversa’s clients, as well as the local and international community, the many services and products Conversa offers. Jeff Beyer, Senior English Instructor
Jeff has brought his unique perspective to teaching English at Conversa. He blends humor, enthusiasm and internet resources to teach fundamental Grammar, Writing, Conversation, TOEFL and other subjects. His students love him. He does activities with them after class and on weekends.
Andy Schwieter, English Instructor and Spanish Interpreter
Andy brings many talents to Conversa. He taught English for two years in China, contributed to the development of Conversa’s curriculum, etc. He is fluent in Spanish and has worked many hours as an interpreter for Conversa’s clients as well as preform written translation.
Jessica Downey, English Instructor
Jessica teaches at both Conversa’s main location in downtown Cincinnati and at Miami University helping Miami’s foreign graduate students improve on their pronunciation and presentation. She always has a bright smile and positive attitude. Jessica is trilingual, having studied and taught in Germany and Spain
